May 16, 2016
Today a group of our Seaside Decorative Painters attended the Child Protection Team Open House. There was a great turn out and we met some of the most wonderful people. It was amazing to walk through all the rooms and hallways looking at our paintings. They did a fantastic and tasteful job at planning and hanging each painting.
April 16 was a special day.
It was more of a fund raiser for our new friends, the girls of the Child Protection Team. We all brought in paintings for their brand new building. We also all painted more during the day. What a great day it was. Everyone had a good time. Three girls from the Child Protection Team joined us and gave a talk about what they do. They are extremely dedicated to what they do. The children are so fortunate to have a team like those girls during such a very dark time in their young lives. Joanne presents Allison with this most appropriate gift. It reads "To the World You May Be One Person...But...To One Person You May Be The World."
Allison Noel Ogden and Joanne Hedges
These are three of the girls of the Protection Team. They spent the day with us. We had a special raffle that day. Usually we have very good raffle prizes, such as Gift cards to restaurants and Michaels, but because this was a fund raising day for the "Kids", we had "mystery bags and boxes brought in by our members, and we put our raffle tickets into the cups without knowing what was inside. They were all very nice items. Our ladies were super generous in buying a lot of tickets. So we raised a very nice profit that will added to the already growing amount we have previously collected for the abused kids facility.

April 23, 2015 ....Our first Auction get together. Meeting, Lunch and beginning our hand painted Greeting cards that will be on sale at our October 17 auction.
March 16, 2015….Patti had a "Memory Box Paint-In" at her home. Several Seaside ladies painted about 10 - 12 memory boxes. It was a very enjoyable morning. Patti served her own recipe for Pasta e fiogili and it was delicious. We ate outside in Patti's beautiful backyard. The pineapple dessert was very yummy. Everyone wants to do it again. What an enjoyable way to get together and paint memory boxes. The memory boxes will be brought to Halifax hospital. They will hold the belongings of the babies who do not make it. This is something we do to show the women who leave the hospital without their baby, that we care. And we care very much. Our club has been doing this for at least 20 years.
